In this miniseries on what Rayo called localized areas of liberty, Shane and Kyle have covered ethical enclaves, free isles/free ports, and intentional communities. His fourth and final proposal was something called a local congregation, which can be defined as:
A geographical area where libertarians have strategically relocated so as to pursue the goal of “taking over the State” through educational ventures, political crusading, and collective-movementism.
Automatically, you can tell that there are already issues, but this strategy is worse than you think. Herein, Shane and Kyle cover what Rayo said, the major issues, and use the Free State Project as a particularly atrocious case study as to why local congregations are doomed to fail.
